Trailer Rental Near St. Charles, Cottleville, and Weldon Spring
St. Charles, Cottleville, and Weldon Spring sit right next door to us, and a lot of our rentals go to people in these towns. Pickup is in St. Peters, a short drive from all three. This guide covers what we see people haul here and the local roads worth knowing about when you have a trailer behind you.
Getting to us
- From St. Charles: I-70 west or Route 364 (Page Avenue) west. Usually about 10 to 20 minutes depending on where you start.
- From Cottleville: just a few minutes over the line into St. Peters.
- From Weldon Spring: Route 94 north or Route 364, usually about 15 to 20 minutes.
We send the exact pickup location after you book. We are available 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. every day.
St. Charles
St. Charles mixes historic neighborhoods with newer subdivisions, and the trailer jobs reflect it.
Historic Main Street and Frenchtown
Older homes near Main Street and in Frenchtown often have narrow streets, tight corners, and alley access. A 20-foot trailer is very doable here, but plan your route in and out before you arrive, and think about where you will park while loading. The brick streets on Main get busy on weekends and during festivals, so avoid hauling through there at those times if you can.
Lindenwood move-ins and move-outs
Lindenwood University brings a wave of moves at the start and end of each semester. Our 20' Spartan enclosed trailer comes with moving dollies and blankets, and the E-track keeps a dorm or apartment load from sliding around. Those weekends book up, so reserve early. Our moving guide covers how to load it.
Car people
St. Charles has plenty of car shows and cruise nights, plus garages full of projects. The 22' MAXX-D car hauler handles non-runners with its 12,000 lb winch and tilt deck. For a show car that has to stay clean and dry, the enclosed trailer is the better pick.
Cottleville
Cottleville is mostly neighborhoods, which means moves, furniture runs, and getting cars to and from the shop. St. Charles Community College is here too, so we see student moves at semester breaks.
Many Cottleville subdivisions have HOA rules about trailers parked in driveways or on the street. If you are loading over a weekend, check your rules and plan the rental so the trailer is not sitting out longer than allowed.
Weldon Spring and the Highway 94 corridor
Weldon Spring sits between the Missouri River and the big conservation areas. It is quieter, with larger lots, and the jobs often involve recreational gear: side-by-sides, dirt bikes, and project vehicles stored in outbuildings.
- Route 94 west toward Defiance and Augusta is a beautiful two-lane road through wine country, with curves, hills, and little shoulder. With a trailer, take it slow and do not let a line of cars behind you rush you.
- The Daniel Boone Bridge on I-64 connects Weldon Spring to Chesterfield. Like every river crossing here, it can get windy. A tall enclosed trailer will feel it.
- Busch Conservation Area and the Katy Trail bring a lot of weekend traffic to the area. Plan around it on busy Saturdays.
Crossing the river
A lot of St. Charles renters are hauling to or from St. Louis County. Here is how each crossing tends to go with a trailer:
| Crossing | Connects to | With a trailer |
|---|---|---|
| I-70 (Blanchette Bridge) | Bridgeton, north county, the airport area | Heaviest traffic. Avoid rush hour. |
| Route 364 (Page Avenue Bridge) | Maryland Heights, west county | Usually the smoothest choice. |
| Route 370 (Discovery Bridge) | Hazelwood, Florissant | Good link to north county and I-270. |
| I-64 (Daniel Boone Bridge) | Chesterfield, west county | Best from Weldon Spring and the south side. |
